Our History | 迦密堂之历史
迦密堂是一间小型的家庭教会，1984年9月28日成立为独立的教会。并在2010年正式加入长老会大会，现属新加坡长老会教会的华文中会。
Carmel Church is a humble family church originally recognised as an independent Presbyterian church on 28th September 1984. We officially joined the synod of Presbyterian churches in 2010 and is currently under the Chinese Presbyterian arm of Presbyterian churches in Singapore.
之前作为一间独立教会，迦密堂一开始并没有属于自己的会址，先是借用了早期的新加坡教会为聚会地点。其后，得已故金链灵修神学院首任院长吴静聆女士提供地方，继而搬到金链灵 修神学院聚会。
As an independent church, we did not have our own church building from the start and had to use the premise of the Church of Singapore for worship for a year. After that, we moved to Chin Lien Bible Seminary, by courtesy of the late Principal, sister Ng Peck Luan.
自教会成立初期以来，本堂并没有主理牧师，在新加坡圣经学院、三一神学院以及金链灵修神学院的讲师和牧师们的帮助，担任本堂的主日讲道。我们也感谢主，也谢谢他们投入宝贵的时间来帮助和带领我们每周的祷告会，主日崇拜和家庭服务，目的是要广传福音和拯救灵魂。
For many years having no reverend of our own, our church was aided by guest speakers, lecturers and pastors from the Singapore Bible College, Trinity Theological College and Chin Lien Bible Seminary. We are indebted to them for devoting their precious time to help us in prayer meetings, Sunday and Home services, with the goal of spreading the gospel and saving souls.
1991年，上帝丰富的恩典和奇妙的作为，让我们在167 Jalan Loyang Besar，巴西立公園的海滩附近购置了一座别墅，从此成为我们的家。
In 1991, by God’s abundant grace and His miraculous ways, we managed to purchase a villa by the beach at 167 Jalan Loyang Besar and made it our home ever since.
目前迦密堂的主理牧师是潘明琨牧师。
At present, Reverend Eeli Pua is our senior pastor.

Since its founding, Carmel Presbyterian Church has been a beacon of faith in the Singapore community. Established with a vision to serve the Loyang and Pasir Ris areas, our heritage is rooted in the biblical principles of stewardship and love.
自成立以来，新加坡长老会迦密堂一直是社区信仰的灯塔。迦密堂带着服务洛阳和白沙地区的异象而建立，我们的传统深深根植于管家职分和爱的圣经原则中。
Throughout the decades, we have moved forward with the grace of God, building not just physical structures, but a spiritual home for generations of families to worship and grow together in Christ.
数十年来，我们在神的恩典中不断进取，不仅建立了实体建筑，更为世世代代的家庭建立了一个属灵的家，一同在基督里崇拜与成长。
THE APOSTLES’ CREED
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic* church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen
